Featured Esty Shop: Jeannie n Richard

Do you love jewelery?  We do!

Today’s featured Etsy shop is Jeannie n Richard a husband and wife “tandem” who design “distinct luxe jewelry.”  They have been designing jewelry since 2011.  Richard does chainmaille weaving while Richard & Jeannie both do bead stitching.  They work daily on their designs bringing together an “ecletic fusion of beads, gemstones, pearls, cyrstals and chainmaille that rise to your occasion, daily styling and your sentimental heirloom that endures the changing trends.”

these are so sweet, they remind of me icecream with a nostaligic modern twist.

You can have a chance to win a ring and a pair of earrings by entering our mother’s day giveaway.

there is something hip, modern, yet classic about this.

Not only does this husband + wife team make amazing jewelery, but they also want to fulfill one of their life long dreams by dedicating a percentage of the profits from their designs into establishing a “self substaining pet sanctuary for the abandoned, strays, sick and abused where there is no limitation of stay but with the option to be rehomed into a responsible and loving family.”

We LOVE that they want to give back, and what a great concept for doing so.

i love the modern chevron like feel this has. the blue is just amazing and would be great for summer outfits!

Make sure to check out their shop ecspcially because their shop is having a Post-FAB 25% Sale till May 31, code POSTFAB25 at checkout.  Also, if you love the earrings and ring you saw me wearing for Fashion Friday enter our giveaway for a chance to win them!

Featured Etsy Seller: Persephone’s Place

Southwestern and Native American inspired patterns have always had a cool, close to nature feel.  This spring and summer season we are seeing these patterns pop out in all types of apparel and done in lots of different styles and colors (from neutral to neons).  However, sometimes we just like the look and feel of the real deal . . .

So remember these oh-so-cool earrings from Persephone’s Place that Ash wore last Friday on her Native American inspired shoot?

Native Nights Western Beaded Earrings

Well, we are so in love with Monique’s beaded earrings that we thought we’d share some more of her stuff here on tumblewee!

These "Kimberly Earrings" have a fringe like feel.

Monique’s love for bead work is inspired by her partial Native American Heritage (Lenape Indian) and by what she sees and observes in nature. Being native Arizonians these Native American undertones in her work are what drew us to her shop.

I love the angle of these!

If you ask Monique she’ll tell you that her bead work is incorporated into her philosophy of life and love of nature.

These have a crow feathers look with the iridescent sheen!

Monique told us, “stone magic and earth magic, and a knowledge of mythology and esoteric sciences play a large part in the creation of my pieces. I spend a lot time outdoors hiking with my husband  and looking for stones, studying colors and combinations of colors as they appear in the natural environment.  Many of my pieces are spiritually dedicated to and inspired by mythological ideas and elemental energies.  Because I wish to convey the connection of my jewelry to earth and it’s elementals, I photograph my jewelry in natural environments whenever possible.”

Monique runs a blog: Plutons Gems which is actually devoted to her bead work and similar topics including ethics in the gemstone industry, and ecological mining and environmental issues.  If you’re interested in her work go read up!

So feel a little closer to nature, and a little closer to your style and stop by Persphone’s Place and take a look around!

Fashion Friday: Easter Inspired

It’s Fashion Friday!  As our theme for the past week or two has been about Easter . . . so too is this one!

Jax and I choose outfits that would be fit for any Easter Brunch with a little vintage flare.

We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to sport some amazing Etsy finds.

On Jax – an adorable pair of Wool Herringbone Little Boy Pants by HughFielding.  This shop has some totally cute little kids clothes.  You should check them out.  The pants were inspired by bespoke mens fashion.  They are 100% wool herringbone with a blue striped mens shirting cotton detail.   The herringbone is supersoft midweight brown/black with an Elastic waistband.

The second Etsy find is a pair of Lace Earrings by Bumble.  They are totally amazing and every mother needs a pair!  She has other beautiful jewelry on her site as well.  What I love about them  . . . they are romantic, yet edgy.

Also on me, a yellow and white cherry dress from forever21 with leggings, leather sandals, and a cute bird necklace I got as a gift a long time ago.

Make sure you take a look at the Etsy designers I mentioned above.  Next week, we’ll share a little more with you about them and their products (plus a suprise giveaway).

Have a fantastic Easter weekend!  May it be filled with egg dying and all the activities and food you enjoy.

ENJOY! ash
