Fashion Friday: Little Boys Graphic Tees

It’s fashion friday!

It’s funny, both Meg and I are transitioning right.  I’m right in the middle of figuring our my graduate school acceptance and starting summer classes.  Meg just got back from her 3-4 month stay in China for her PHD work, which is why our posts have been a little light(not our usual) as of late.  I thought it would be fun to share with you my favorite thing right now for Jax . . .

GRAPHIC TEES

We’ve pretty much transitioned to using only t-shirts and pants/shorts for Jax.  I find using two pieces easier with a squirmy one year old who won’t lay on his back for anything anymore . . . not even changing a diaper.  It’s a game of finding something that will occupy him while I change his diaper (or his clothes) or I’m chasing after him with a diaper, which he loves being chased.

I’ve found a lot of cute tees at target, old navy, carter’s, and of course WE MAKE THEM!  I shared with you some of our recent creations last week.  If you have a shirt that you want upcycled to a cute baby, toddler, or children’s tee, contact us at our shop or via email  for details.  Here are a few cute ones I found that I’m eying for Jax:

i actually bought this one in Target for really cheap, like $5.

This is supper cute. Love the bright neon color, which is totally popular this summer. Carter’s Tee – $10.50

ummm . . . don’t mom’s rock! of course they do. :) Carter’s Tee – $6

back of the above shirt.

So you get the idea . . . :)  We sometimes go through a couple shirts a day.  What can I say – Jax plays like a little boy, plus he’s learning to eat like a big kid.  So we are both messy often!

Have a great weekend!

Fashion Friday OR Friday Wants: Boys of Summer

Ok – so I confess, I didn’t have time to do the Fashion Friday shoot this week.  Plus, my photographer is gone for the week (Europe – lucky gal).  So I did something a little like Wednesday Wants: I collected a spattering of cool summer inspired boys items both clothing and toys.  I’ll share with you my favorite boy clothing items, since it is Fashion Friday.

Riding a bike always reminds me of summer.  Something about the feeling of the wind in your face, and feeling like a free spirit.  Both of these items are perfect for summer.

make sure to check out her other cute shirts. it was a toss between this one and amo.

This shirt reminds me of wearing an aquarium, which I have this deep excitement to take Jax to one.  He’s always enthralled with fish tanks whenever we see them.

This would be perfect for the beach, not to mention the fact that I love stripes.

And of course you’ll need this for the beach when you go there:

I’m not sure why, but I’m really digging sharks as a fashion trend for little boys this summer.  Maybe that’s always the case.

Make sure to check out all of the other cute etsy summer items I choose on our list.  There are lot of cute items out there that are made with love, and by hand.

Hopefully I’ll be back in full Fashion Friday swing next week!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Featured Etsy Shop: Casanees

Plaid suspenders by Casanees

Remember these adorable suspenders on Jax last Friday from Casanees?  We’re in love with them!  I actually think we’re debating having Jax wear them for my wedding in August (we’re doing a camping wedding with florals for girls and plaids for the boys! Well we’ll see it’s actually planned as an “eclectic” wedding so I picture things getting thrown in last minute).  Her stuff is perfect for weddings because she can custom make any of her patterns (hats, suspenders, dresses, and ties) for your ring bearers and flower girls.

She has the cutest ties (and bowties as well) that you can coordinate for your events or family photos!

Cassandra is so talented and hilarious to boot!  When we asked her what type of personal information we could include about her in this post she said,  “basically, I’m Super Mom to my two little kidlets, a boy and a girl. Lately I play the part of Captain Hook, because the good guys are taken and they want a villain… ”  LOL.  I just fell in love with this response!  I can just imagine Cassandra whipping up Peter Pan and Tinkerbell costumes for her kids as well as beautiful (matching) clothes sets!  Like these from her store:

Perfect for family/kiddo photos!

Casandra tells us, “I LOVE sewing for my kids and creating what their imagination can dream up. Nothings better than having a unique item of clothing that no one else on the playground has!”  We’d have to agree and I think this cap is the next unique item we’ll have to purchase for Jax (after all summer is coming and in that Arizona sun we’re going to have to keep him covered!):

Newsboy cap – so cute!

So if you want a unique item for your kiddos too (or for your wedding!)  hope on over to Casanees and support handmade!

Featured Etsy Shop: Teesies

Remember the awesome onesie that Jax was wearing last Friday from Teesies?

"What would Elmo do?" onesie from Teesies

Don’t miss a chance to win it in our Vintage Sesame Street Giveaway (along with lots of other goodies)! But that’s not really why we’re writing this post . . . we wanted to share even more fabulous Teesies onesies with you all (since Libby has so many clever ones it wasn’t really hard to find some that we truly LOVE).

I just couldn’t resist sharing these funny and vintage style Dubble Trubble baby onesies for twins (especially since Ash and I are twins!):

Teesies shop announcement reads, “If childhood is full of giggles, grins and inside jokes…shouldn’t parenthood be too? ” And Libby bases all of her onesies and t-shirts off of this statement, adding little humorous touches throughout her entire baby clothing line.  We were grinning ear-to-ear reading through some of these clever shirts (and picturing babies in them).

I think this Fragile: Handle with Care is so stinking cute that I may have to get it if I have a second kid:

I think Jax would be so cute in this RAWR shirt.  Plus I adore the “rawr means I love you in dinosaur” explanation at the bottom:

And last but not least, for all those recyclers, green living, and certified organic fiends  out there:

100% Certified Organic onesie from Teesies - too cute!

Also, the look on the little kiddos face in this last one is absolutely classic.

P.S. if you grownups are dying to have an adult version of “What would Elmo do?” Libby has that too, here!
